These are incredibly serious questions for the girls who are either going through or have transitioned. I'd be grateful for some honest answers ....

When did you decide was the moment you had to transition?

I had two moments like that and one where I felt I needed to go back to live as a man for a while. The first one was when I was 13. I started taking hormones and about a year latter I started 9th grade. The effect the mones had on my body was such that to any who did not know me from grade school I appeared to be a girl. After living like that for 7 years I was in a difficult sitaution (there was a thread about this). I had to choose between the education I wanted and the life I had been living.

Did something in particular happen as a catalyst to say now is the time?

What made be come back to living as a woman was not just one thing. For me life as a man was living death. I had some good friends and high points but I was quite depressed most of the time. What really brought me back was that I had promised myself that living as a man was only a temporary solution to a short term problem.

Did you have plenty support to make the decision fairly easy?

No!

Did you go through a breakdown?

No! I just had constant low grade depression.

Did you just have to do it , make a hard decision with a lot to lose? and did you end up losing what you feared you would? Has anyone regretted it?

Didn't really have much to loose, the only things I own are my car and my PC. No regrets.

When did you start seeing your doctor about it?

I did not see a doctor for prescribed, legal hormones until late 2005.

How long did you fight against the desire/need to transition?

Lived as a male from age 21-25.

Do those who do porn/work in the sex industry do so out of choice or because they feel there is no option?

My only other support is student financial aid which is just enough to live off of if you live very cheaply. If I want to be able to afford the operations I want/need anytime soon I must work.

Do thos who do work as such as a pre-op fear losing perhaps the last option for making money if they transition fully?

I am fortunate to have some education. I am certain that with it after SRS is paid for I will be able to do just fine. These operations just cost so much money. Looking at the starting pay of most jobs I am qualified for I would not be able to afford it just by working such a job.

I decided Feb 03 and started Tranistion Sept O4

I was rushed to hospital after I OD in 2003, and had to drink this Liquid Charcol goo. I was killing myself with drugs hiding from my feelings, I decide to accept who I was and transition that day. I havent had the need or desire for drugs since I accepted being a TS female.

Did you have plenty support to make the decision fairly easy?

Yes my Father esp, and my family has been there for me.

Yes going thru rehab

I just had to do it, I didnt want to die a man. I fiqured no loss of family, friends , money, or even a job = the loss of my life. No I didnt lose much, just a close guy friend who was like a brother to me. Im sure my ex friend does hate my choice.

There's always a option. I have a good job, but I enjoy escorting/porn on the side its not my life. It helps for my future surguries.
