Does Joey pay well?
Does he treat his girls nicely on the set?
Does he say anything negative about his trans actors?
I mean from everything I've ever seen the dude seems to have more positives than most directors and treats his t-talent well.
Is this little tiff really such a bad thing?
There appears to be an audience that buys movies featuring t-girls and genetic girls, right? Joey and others shoot scenes of this nature.
So letting the g-girl pick the t-girl talent doesn't seem so incredible to me.
And who's the bigger star stuff just seems overblown. honestly outside of Jenna Jameson, nobody gives a crap about adult stars-most movies are bought on impulse.
I don't think hungangels gives one an impression of the larger adult video world out there.
Stars no matter how pretty or talented are as disposable as plastic forks. A new pretty g-girl or t-girl comes to the business every day.
This seems like the sort of thing that could be resolved with a simple phone call and not a callout thread on hungangels

Work it out
I hope you will continue to work with joey because you are the best tgirl out there as far as package combination goes ie dick, face, body. Joey's movies seems to always have the best tgirls with big dicks and pretty faces and his angles are the best in my opinion. Dont let something like this keep you from working but i do see your point. But like someone said that when we see the cover we will buy it because you are in it.

At the risk of pissing off the guys in the business on this board, I have always been amazed by the economics of the TS porn business (to extent I understand them). The girls NEVER get royalties/residuals/any exposure to the success/failure of the film. Instead, they are paid some flat fee that is usually pretty small ($5,000 per scene or so I think).
I have never understood why:
-- "superstar" TS stars like Yasmin Lee/Allanah Starr/ arent able to negotiate for part of the back-end profits?
-- more girls dont do what Gia Darling/Wendy Williams do and produce their own films ....
Perhaps these films just arent that profitable --- but I really cannot believe that --- and I do think that having an established "star" who is guaranteed to put "asses in the seats" so to speak should cost the producer more. Perhaps most of these girls just dont have the savvy to negotiate for more?

um
5g MY GOD I WISH
Try more like 750-2000
As far as producing your own stuff........In the beginning it was becoming profitalbe however with the success of VOD its really took a hit in dvd sales.
Based on using American Talent:
You think it costs about 10-12g for a 4 scene release, 3g in post productive cost, so looking at around 15g to get the dvd on the shelves.
Average cost wholesale is around $10-14 with average companies (not Devils, Evil Angel, Robert Hills, etc) doing around 800-1000 out the door. Minus the 30-40%. You see the inital payback is only a little half of the release. Of course VOD, direct sales, and website can feed back into it but in the long run unless you are a LARGE company producing numerous titles a month with European Distribution its really hard.
Gia has been in the business for 10 yeas so her catalog is big plus most of her content is across seas so her cost are lower and a higher number of product out the door.
Hopefully dvd sales will pick up or people will stop buying all the crap that has saturated our genre.

I am a guy so....
I agree with you Yasmin
My problem with it is Joey's apparent lack of professionalism. He or his office should have been the ones to contact you, not the co-star. Most definitely not by email.
it just reeks of unprofessionalism to me, sorry
As for you with a GG or TS or Guy or all three....Definitely Hot because you are in it. But it should be done in a professional manner and at your choice.
Stick to your guns baby

Sorry if i offended ye, no wait I am not sorry, being offended is your problem not mine.

aww
Joey is VERY professional and really really good to the girls. He pays top dollar and is one of the reasons why we are able to have transsexual porn.
Maybe his lack of judgement or Kevins is the reason for this or maybe he just has burned himself out and let his guard down, but he really is a good good guy. It could just be a misunderstanding lets wait to pass judgement until Yasmeen speaks with him.

this is my take on the whole scenario, Yasmin IS very beautiful, and I totally agree she is a major star in the TS scene.
BUT Technically she isn't the star of any of the movies she does, she is one of what is usually an ensemble cast of 3 to 6 girls so I guess you could say she more a co-star.
Now if a DVD was released just starring her I could totally undestand where she comes from.
(and why don't they do that anymore? I can remember back in the 90's they would showcase one girl and usually have her in every scene and the other girls would be her co-star, it seems to me that the "gonzo" mentality of porn has taken alot of the fun out of porn nowadays, I mean it all just looks so generic. Storyline anyone?)
God save me from stupid people...

The thought just flashed in my mind at all the TS banding together like musicians did to form United Artists. Of course they could probably never set aside their differences long enough for that to work. Still, something to think about. Aimee Mann said goodbye to the major labels and formed a consortium. Imagine what the top 20 TS stars could do with their own umbrella company or distribution.
Yasmine, best of luck. I too imagine a conversation with Joey will tell a lot.
