And yes, I personally know a hiv pos std counselor who got it from oral - he had sex with a guy he knew was pos and swallowed. I do not know why, he doesn't know why. I think drugs were a factor.

But it's not so much the HIV factor as all the other heebie-jeebies you can get that way.

But as an escort and porn performer, it's pretty much if you want to work you do what you have to, or someone else will. But you take the best precautions you can, get tested regularly and hope.

What did it say. I AM a woman - which is why I take hormones. I have a penis true, but I am a woman. A TS woman.

What I said was I do not belittle those in the TG community, who for whatever reason choose not to take hormones, or who cycle hormones in order to retain functionality.

I am a woman, I don't care if it's "functional" in the male sense. It gives me a female orgasan and that's fine with me.

You also said the part I quoted- that you support the "3rd gender" system and you said transsexuals as a 3rd gender not "some transsexuals" thus implying (as I read it, unless I am confused) that all transsexuals would make up this 3rd gender.

Which is why I asked for clarification... do you really mean 3 genders (with the 3rd being for transsexuals)?

What about ftms? I would think that would dictate having 4- if you were to run with the more than-what-we-have-now theory.

Maybe even 5 for people who want to be genderless?

It just sounds to me like no matter how you dice it, the 3rd gender theory just doesn't make alot of sense.

I really am not touching on who takes what for hrt. I could honestly care less if someone cycles their meds.

This is a very complicated issue - even in my own mind - and I think I didn't properly explain my thoughts earlier.

But what about this - transsexuals as TWO versions, if you will.

Those in "transition" from one sex to another - the traditional sense. You were a boy, you are now a girl. SRS, etc.

And those who are both sexes as a perment condition. Part boy, part girl, part both, part neither.

Yes I am a woman. But in many ways I will never BE a woman. I'll never have a child. I'm not a bouncy flouncy girly sort. I still like to surf and marlin fish. And I really don't recall insisting on being the barbie wife when my sister and I played dolls.

And I think this is part of what makes the transgendered "condition" so confusing to us and especially to outsiders. It's fluid and complicated and often changes over time.

But my point is - it's all OK, and OK to be yourself.

I still think that it sounds like saying no less than 4 genders, there are FtMs and like some MtFs I would imagine not all go "all the way"

The reason why I immediately jumped on the 3rd gender idea (as I do virtually everytime I see it brought up- you can check the archives if you want) is because I don't want people to misuse that concept to lump all trans people into one "other" category for fully transitioned postops, nonops, FtMs, MtFs etc etc etc.

Even the crazy fundies think that MtFs and FtMs are totally different genders.
