I don't really buy the costs line. Having lived in both Paris and London, I know the costs are similar. Yeah property is dearer in England than in Paris, but French mortgages are usually 15-year rather than 25. The rental markets are comparable. As for the consumers, there are plenty of similarly wealthy Parisians happy to blow dosh on sex. The same would be true of Madrid.

Your last point however I totally agree with-- small pool of providers, probably because the business is less legitimised than elsewhere, so they can get away with it. I was really hoping one of the girls would come forward with something surprising, that would make me think yeah, cool, I can see how this pricing is justified, but no, I think it's that.

Thanks for responding Farrah and clearing that up, that was very good of you. I was actually pretty sure that you were "bottom" (I'm sure you've said so before on HA) but a previous poster had made the "top-only" point and I thought it was one you'd want to address. I don't mean any personal criticism of you in my points and I'm sure you charge the going rate, fairly, and I have to say all the reports I've heard about you have been very good. Next time someone pays me to go to London I might call you, if I have time.

However I have to stick to my original view, which is, unless you actually live in London or are there on an expenses-paid business trip, forget it. Just too expensive. Now if there was a radical difference in quality, maybe, but I do know the standards provided by European-based girls (Spain in particular) and they are very high indeed. In today's world of cheap air-fares London is just not a destination I'd recommend for leisure t-whorists.
