Hispanic is not a race. There are white hispanics, there are black hispanics, there are Mestizo hispanics, etc. Argentines are white for the most part, though there's a fair amount of illegals living there from Bolivia, etc who are not.

The real question should be what makes a person white and what makes a person hispanic? Is just being speaking spanish but having white ancestry automatically make you hispanic?

Is being of european ancestry make people white? or do you have to be of white ancestry and speak english only.

White means you're of European descent. You don't lose your whiteness if you start speaking Spanish.

I never got why people don't understand that. There are black people in Africa, the UK, Europe, the islands, and the United States..yet as soon as they start speaking spanish, they are latin in most people's mind. I don't get it.

The Domincan Republic and Haiti are on the same island, and made up of the same people, yet most people don't consider Dominicans black.


Truth is, just like in the US, there are different people in any country. Just because they are not speaking english doesn't mean they aren't white!
