I don't want to knock your taste in music but her (and the other person's song too) voice...i dunno, they lack soul and power.
Let me suggest Amanda Marshall. She has soul and power and she is (was) easy on the eyes, too.
I am not even sure if Amanda broke in the USA or anywhere else for that matter. She is Canadian from Toronto. She is half white and half black.
She had some national fame about 20 years ago and then for some reason, this amazing talent just never made it internationally - never became a household name.
One night, about 20 year ago, i turned on the TV and she had a special, hour long, televised concert - it was AMAZING. I never even heard of her until that night.
