My condolences here as well. While I haven't lost my own mother, I fear for losing her just about every day (due to what she does to herself) so I think I can relate a little. But again, I'm sorry for your loss.
While if I could go back in time and change things, God knows I would, I also realize that such a thing is impossible. So I just have to move on with my life and make sure that I come out the other side a better person. That’s all there is too it.

It's always sad to lose a parent, esp if you were really close with them, but just like our own inevitable deaths it's something that cannot be avoided. I at least feel better if I see my parents pass rather than them having to see me pass. Believe me, it can be MUCH worse on the parents.
If you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything.
