Herpes. 20% of the population has this?
After googling countless times, it seems that all of the links i can find about herpes conclude that around 20% of humans carry the virus that produces herpes. However, only 5% of the general population has active, flamin herpes. I assume that it's dormant in the other 15%....
Is this true? If so, you'd think that the majority of sex workers would be carriers. I'm not trying to scare any readers away from frequenting their favorite tranny treasure trove.
Are there any famous transexuals who are open about having this disease, as it would be a career-killer?
Do the guys here use any infected escorts, but use a condom to protect themselves?
I think im gonna use an escort for the first time here in the next day or so, but youd think that after barebacking just a few rednecks, fellating, that said escort would be infected?

Yeah 20% sounds about right... scary, ain't it? It maintains a latent infection within nervous system sensory cells by incorporating its DNA. Current medicine is unable to eradicate this. But, on the bright side, the first infection is usually the worst, and following recurrences are more and more mild (and they can be lessened with valtrex).
The greatest risk of transmission is when you see active lesions present; these look like little blisters on a base of red skin; ulcers may also be present. If you see anything like this stay away.
There's also something called asymptomatic shedding. Basically the viral particles are released even without the skin lesions. So you can still get it from a person who does not have any lesions on their skin... scary, huh. This is less likely if the infected person is taking valtrex chronically.
Condoms and wise choice of partners helps.

20% sounds WAAAAAAAY under the actual percentage... unless its solely based on genital herpes then i guess MAYBE could be right but i would still think more

same with genital warts. some people dont even know they carry them around. in fact ive seen them even in mags like Hustler. sylvia boots had them on her dick, for instance.
and using condoms wont keep herpes away. a simple kiss can cause an infection.

so, do you guys think it's safe to assume that most every girl who escorts is a carrier?

Yah, we all hope for this kind of responsibility/honesty, but that's not how the world works.
