When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off of our walkman.
When checking out drawing books and that one book about the rainbow fish from the library was THE cool thing to do.
You had slap braclets!
Way back.
Before we realized all this would eventually disappear.

Holy shit! I remember like 95% of that. How old are you, Legend? I'm 24. Sometimes that stuff seemed like a lifetime ago, other times like it was just yesterday.
I think we're the last generation to remember life before computers and internet.

Shit man I remember the majority of what you posted. The 80s AND 90s was a great time growing up, it just sucks that it went by so quick.
Al: First thing they teach you when you're a rookie shoe salesman is when you get a fat one in the chair, never look up. I looked up, Peg! I saw underwear! It said "Saturday!"
Peggy: So?
Al: Today's Wednesday!

Well I did graduate high school back in 1994, so I remember pretty much everything on this list.
Pogs?? I still can't believe I actually tried to collect those!
I still have my Walkman...original headphones and all. And it's not one with a digital radio tuner or auto-reverse.
I still haven't beaten "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on Nintendo...but I beat all of the Super Mario Bros. games (two was my favorite).
NBA Jam was the shit!
I liked "Family Matters"...even before Urkel became the star.
Ren and Stimpy will ALWAYS be cool.
Windows '95 was my first major introduction to computers (I even remember Windows 3.1)
I didn't use Lisa Frank items...but I did have a Trapper Keeper and Pee Chee folders.
And I was more of an MC Hammer fan than Vanilla Ice. U Can't Touch This!
"I Love The Nineties: HA Edition"
William Escalade is no more. He's done his service to the site.

Oregon Trail!
Most of that list is spot on.
We never had tang over here though.
If there's one thing that sums up being a child in the 90's, it's combat trousers (awful...just awful).
I'm 22 and the 90's seems centuries ago.

I remember those......though lunchables, 3 Ninjas, and Vanilla Ice are things I'd rather not remember.
I also remember when game systems still used cartridges, pro wrestling showed actual matches and rarely showed locker room stuff ( as opposed to today being the opposite ), when guys with 'fro hair styles actually got laughed at, Game Genie, anime was very tricky to find, action figures cost 3 or 4 bucks, no Bushes in the whitehouse, tech support people actually spoke English as their first language, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Gameboys were still black & white, and could not fit in your pocket; Megaman was a robot, Dennis Archer was mayor of Detroit, The Simpsons were not retconing its own history, there was about 3000 Ninja Turtle figures o_o, Play Station 1 was just brand new, Mario and Sonic were rivals, the FCC was not on a decentcy crusade, and yahoo chat was actually fun.
Burninating the country side, burninating the peasants. Burninating all the people in their thatched roof cottages....THATCHED ROOF COTTAGES!!!!!

You know, its fucked up to think about that the 2000s are almost a thing of the past now, as well. Unfortunately, I don't think that there are quite as many great things to look back upon from this decade though. Apart from the post 911, police state America in which most of our Constitutional Bill of rights have been eviscerated and kids can't even have a weekend party now without cops finding out and throwing kids in Jail...
