Well, ball crushing kicks aside, I just think they're damn ugly.
I'm not so much scared of them, as turned off. but then, the spike thing never did anything for me, even when I was long haired heavy metal dude in the 80's and every heavy metal wanna be rock star and chick was wearing them, on belts, bracelets, necklaces, you name it.
