Speaking as a white guy, I think there may be some truth to the idea (or stereotype, however you want to describe it) that white males are more inclined toward subservience. Whether it actually is true in any practical sense is open to debate, but it's always just seemed that way to me (and I say this disclosing the fact that I'm not into masochism or being dominated at all).
