Getting calls at 3:AM....the cognitive dissonace that I felt upon getting such a call did help drive me out of that business. Hell Tyra Banks, and Hallie Baerry look like shit at 3AM why would I look any better. ugh.

I can only imagine the cranky wierd stupid calls that other girls with better more elaborate ads get. From my own experience with the net it is quite a dangerous place. You have no idea if the person you are talking to is deranged, or a cop, or a serious customer.

If you want to experience a TS go to a bar or club and pick someone up in person. Furthermore don't loose your nerve, and just look at your shoes when you get there.

Another glaring example of how slightly above average intelligence rarely equates to even average social skills. After reading the rest of the comments and his response, it doesn’t seem he is even open to accepting the fact that his lack of charm was the largest contributor to the curt response he received.
Although I am not really in that group, one can’t help but tip your hat to those ugly and marginally intelligent fellows who have developed the necessary charm to get a good percentage of the women they go after. This is a social world, so an evolved human today must combine both social and intellectual skills.

From what I've read, it sounds to me like you haven't got much experience dealing with this sort of thing. You write some increasingly chatty emails to a woman who doesn't know you from Adam, get pissed off at her and tell her off, come here for advice, get it from two of the mods who might just know a little or a lot more about the subject than you, then proceed to get pissy with JWBL.

I'm also rather lucid today as I'm fresh from a bank meeting and haven't had the chance to consume mass quantities of swill, yet.

I can relate to this from a couple of angles, particularly from the point of view of the chatty e-mail guy that is somewhat put out by one-word replies. We wordsmiths, even the amateurs like myself that move apostrophes around like beanbag chairs at a keg party, put a lot of effort and passion into our drivel (Though we often don't see it as such) so, getting a basic "LOL" in response to a three-page anecdote can be a little hurtful.

You're absolutely right, but I didn't think it was all that bad. My "three page anecdote" was nine sentences. Anyone could have read it and written at least a two-sentence response in a minute or so. I'm not saying she should have, though. I'm just saying that your analogy is a bit over-exaggerated for this particular situation.

As direct and seemingly impolite/uncaring as this gurl may have been to you, don't discount her until you've done a little more research. Best of luck to you.

I didn't consider her responses impolite or uncaring. I considered them impersonal, which gave me the impression that she either didn't know how to give a good experience or she had such a good business that she wasn't looking very hard for new clients and was swamped with email.

And don't poke the mods in the eye.

That's probably good advice for the cautious. I never poke anyone in the eye, but I will poke someone in the eye back. Luckily for me, johnnywalkerblacklabel has plenty of integrity and was able to see my side of it... But if anyone talks to me like that, I'll talk back. If the price is getting banned, so be it.

Oh and about discounting her, that's excellent advice and you might have noticed that I didn't--I reserved judgment and came here to ask about this. Plus, I received a final response from her that confirmed what I suspected--she is doing so well that she's not looking very hard for new clients, and she gets like 200 emails a week.

I'm doing quit well for myself and most of all my clients are repeats and or referrals. I usually don't take one new clients because I have so many repeats that I have established a re pore and friendship with and I prefer that because the experience is mutually enjoyable.

In truth I didn't expect a response, and of course she didn't owe me one--so it was out of kindness alone that she wrote the above response.

So I'm glad I didn't judge her before. Turns out she's a real class act.
