It is no secret that I am a huge Meghan Chavalier fan. As a drag queen in Ohio I would escape too the internet to see the images of these beautiful transsexuals that I wanted to be like. Ladies like Meghan Chavalier, Gia Darling, Vaniity, FoxyAngel to name just a few. After my transition and the idea of wanting to be in the adult industry I was then once again brought too seeing Meghan Chavalier on video and I remember thinking WOW there are shemales doing porn. Sadly as I became "Wendy Williams" Meghan met her husband of 6 years and decided to take a break from the adult Industry, leaving me too look up too my now business partner and dear friend Joanna Jet. After my move too L.A in 2005 I started my own series "Wendys Wild Shemales" and thus the job as a producer left me with choosing the ladies I wanted to star along side me. During my transition I had always kept in touch via email with Meghan and she was always more than happy to help me with contacts, questions, or just someone to chat with. I'll never forget how nervous I was to ask her to do a scene for "Wendys Wild Shemales 4" only for her too answer "YES" without a hesitation. Most don't know that Meghan has one book already under her authors belt "The Mystical Journey" under the name of KJ Siirila. Recently Meghan decided too tell the story of "Meghan Chavalier". This Autobiography book, Confessions of a Transsexual Porn Star, is an in depth look at her childhood, stage performing, living in New Orleans, prostitution, and her introduction to the Adult Industry. Fans can expect over 200 pages and feeling at the end of the book they have some insight of not only a pre-operative transsexual woman but one of the most recognizable Transsexual Pornstars. Now for some juicy things we can expect in the book. Meghan does discuss her encounters with 2 very famous male celebrities though she decided to abbreviate their names I think it gives the reader the ability to let his or her mind wonder with the question WHO?? How did Meghan Chavalier come to life sort of speak?
I started in New Orleans in the early 90's. I was a stage performer before I started doing anything in the adult industry. For 3 years I was Madonna and Cher doing 17 shows a week on Bourbon Street. I didn't actually start doing films until I moved to Hollywood in 1995.

How did you get started in the Adult Entertainment Industry? I was contacted by Patrick Barnes a photographer for Transformation Magazine. I did my first real photo shoot for them in 1995. The rest was a real roller coaster. By June 1996 I was on the cover of TV Epic magazine and pretty much on my way in the industry.

What was your first video? My first movie was Transsexual Centerfolds. The movie was released in March 1996.

How many videos have you been in? I've done about 175. You can find most of them in the United States but I did alot of work for European companies and Asia so those would be those hard to find videos. Who were or are some of your Ts Porn Idols? I actually didn't have anyone to idolize at the time I started. I never really watched transsexual porn so I didn't know anything about who did it. I was a young transsexual with a dream to do something differen't, so I did. I guess it worked out.

What is the craziest thing you ever did in a video or was asked to do? The craziest thing I ever did was have sex in a garbage can and then in an oven haha. Oh the younger years.

What kind of scenes are you into? boy/girl girl/girl etc?? I'm into boy/girl and trans on trans. I love women I'm just not sexually into women.

Tell us about you being the First Tgirl with a Contract? I decided that if I was going to go full force into movies I wasn't going into it without it being financially beneficial so I worked out a deal with Devils Films in 1998 and signed the first transsexual contract in the industry. I can't emphasize how important it is to make sure you're in charge of your career. I never had an agent, I didn't want one. I always handled all of my business dealings myself.

Why did you decide to take a break doing videos? Would you return or have the interest to return? I decided to take a break to concentrate on my writing and my relationship. I just felt I had done enough at that point and wanted to find out who the hell I was as a person. I spent so many years being "Meghan Chavalier" I didn't really know who Meghan was anymore. I do now. I think after three years I'm ready to drop in once in a while on a few videos. I would work with companies and people I respect.

Describe yourself as you see yourself? I’ve always said I never wanted to be considered the most beautiful or the sexiest transsexual on the planet and I would never claim to be that person. I believe we are all in this together, and no one person is better than the other. I think people think that the “porn girls” are differen’t than other people and most of us really aren’t. We live normal lives and have normal problems just like everyone else. So basically I’m just a down home girl who doesn’t drink or do drugs and lives a semi normal existence.

[b][b]DO you follow AVN and the new girls in the scene? If so any favorites or any video lines you are impressed with? I do follow the industry to see whats happening. I'm impressed with quite a few of the new girls including you. I think you're going to be part of the new face of transsexual porn. I also really like Gia (one of the nicest people in the industry), Vicki, Danielle, Joanna, Saigon and Alannah. As far as video lines, I can't comment because I still don't watch much porn. I think I've probaly only seen 4 of my own movies.

How have videos of your era and videos today changed? I think things have gotten a little more naughty today, which is great, but I think that somebody needs to do videos that really emphasize the fact that transsexuals are beautiful women and should be respected.

What producer was your favorite to work for? Chimera Tryst without a doubt.

What do you think about AVN starting in 2003 "Transsexual Performer of the Year"? It's a step in the right direction. I think anytime the industry recognizes transsexuals it’s a good thing.

Do you keep in contact with any ladies you worked with prior to your break? Yes, I made some really great friends in the industry who I talk to alot. Three of my really good friends from the old days are Olivia Love, Gena and Geneva. Really awesome individuals.

Please tell us about your website and what fans can see inside the members area? My website www.meghanchavalier.com was started in 1997. It's gone through so many differen't phases but it's finally at a place where I feel comfortable with it now. There's so many pictures and videos I lose track of them sometimes. It's almost 9 years of content so you're looking at alot and it's only going to get better. I've got some big things in store for this year for the website but you'll have to wait and see, and it's still only 9 bucks a month.

What has Meghan been doing since her video days? Spending time at my house in Indiana, writing my books, and enjoying my relationship with my boyfriend Eric who I've been dating for almost 4 1/2 years.

Please tell everyone about your book, how you got into writing, where they can find it and order it?? Writing is my passion. I finally took the time to see if I could write a book and when I actually focused my thoughts I came up with The Mystical Journey: The Book of Elandor the first in a trilogy. I'm writing under a pen name K J Siirila which is my actual birth name. I've always been a fan of fantasy books but wasn't really sure if I could write one. I wrote the first book in 30 days exactly. I spent 17 hours a day writing it and I'm happy with the end result. Luckily I found a publisher and it was released March 10, 2005. I know you live in Indiana now do you miss the fast pace of LA? I never really liked the fast pace of Los Angeles. I've always been an extremely private person. When I had to do public signings like calendars and movies which we did alot it was pretty nerve racking for me.

Do you have any pets and if so tell us about him or her?? We have alot of pets. "Our kids". We have two dogs, two cats and seven fish. I love animals. One of our dogs, Princess Piggy Poo is a Boston Terrier and the love of our life.

If a fan wanted to take you on an Ideal date, where and what would you want to do? Well, I'm a pretty normal chickie. I don't like fancy restaurants and I like to shop at Walmart. I guess just a nice day out, hiking the trails and eating really bad fast food would be good enough for me.

What sexually is your biggest turn on? turn off? I am turned on by the person really. Funny works for me. Eric is really funny I think that's why we work so well together. I'm really turned off by arrogance, dishonesty, and a general lack of concern for things going on in the world today.


Advice for ladies like myself who are just becoming involved in the adult industry? Be your own boss. You can't get anywhere with someone telling you what to do. You know whats best for you. Also, when you do work for other companies check your contracts make sure everything is going to be in your best interest and that you're receiving the full potential of what the company has to offer. You can get screwed royally if you don't read the contracts. Also, don’t lose your head, don’t go on a star trip because nobody likes a bitch. Be nice, be respectful and be yourself.

Meghan tell us about your new book "Confessions of a Transsexual Pornstar"! What was the inspiration and what can your fans or readers expect?

Now with the book comes interviews, marketing, and lots of fan questions. Can we hope to see you coming back to the Industry even if its too help promote your book? I'm not too sure you'll see me out and about on talk shows and such. I told Wendy Williams that I still have a huge anxiety problem with crowds and I have horrible stage fright. It may be the first book where the author refuses to do any interviews unless it's in print or via satellite from my house in Indiana. (Laughs)


Do you think after being out of the business for awhile that the new fans are missing out by not having new Meghan Chavalier stuff? If so do you think you would be able too top some of your nasty work in earlier years?
Honestly I think I did enough movies to last a lifetime. If there was a huge demand and people wanted to see more of me I'd probaly make a couple of flicks here and there. I'm 38 years old so I've changed a lot in the last few years. I'd rather just leave the movie industry to the new girls. You have to know when to walk away gracefully you know what I mean?

What is your thoughts about AVN and the award selection and process? How if anything would you do differently to make sure the correct person won or atleast recognized? I think it's like beauty pageants, it's very political. I also think that AVN may have an issue with nominating anyone for the Hall of Fame if they're not doing heterosexual films. There has never been a transsexual nominated into the Hall of Fame (Kim Chrsity was Introduced in as a Director in 2005). I'm not saying I deserve to be there, although I think I should be considered, but I think they need to put someone from our community in just to show us that we may have a chance at it. I also think that sometimes, the person who advertises the most, gets the most nominations and awards. Political. I don't want to start a firestorm with the magazine but come on already, don't be so obvious. Leave some room for the little guy who doesn't have a huge budget.
