I don't if it's destroyed society, but it has certainly altered it, and made many a folk gobs of money. While on the subject, I've never understood how anyone could ever purchase clothing or, say, shoes over a mail order catalog or through the net either ? I mean, even if one is familiar with the brand and its fitting ..?

Yep, that's it (though personally I hate cluttering up my desktop so I save to a folder instead).
