true...the first book is 10000 times better than the first movie...they butchered the book in the first movie.

I totally agree, I mean it is neat to see how they made certain things come alive from the book. But the books are amazing. I can't believe the manuscript was sitting on someone's desk forever before they even acknowledged it.

Movie versions of the books are always missing something. I read Memoirs of a Geisha, and I don't think the film came close to showing the true essence of the characters.

I keep on passing that movie by on Demand...and I've been wanting to watch it real bad since I heard it came out. I just cant muster why I haven't just clicked on the damn movie and watched it.

I actually own the film. I was out of the states when it came out, so I just saw it a few months ago.
