    Default Looking for MySpace advice

I just started a MySpace page and am getting bombarded with requests to add as a friend. Is there a protocol or expectation to accept them? I mean would I be expected to chat regularly with them?

I started my own page primarily so I could join people's pages that I already know and sure to meet new people, but it is less than 24 hours old and I already have 9 requests and bunches of mail, but sucha noob so kinda just shaking my head here.

Also many of you have wicked graphics and killed ads so a little help there would be appreciated.

Funny story...some idiot actually sent an e-mail about wanting a relationship, then proceeded to tell me how she went to Africa slept with some guy that wouldn't let her meet his family and stiffed the hotel...yadda yadda yadda...hmm, let me give you my bank account because your easy. Oh and she is a blonde Native American...anyone familiar with that tribe? *co-SPAM-ugh*

Seriously any advice on what I should do with MySpace would be appreciated.

no i dont think theres any protocol to add them its totally up to u. i really dont like people just adding me with out sending a message first , if a message was sent, maybe but just a random add naw. i only add people or accept people if i have messaged them before, or vice versa. just people i plan on keep in touch with. about the nice pages im totally clueless on how to do that sorry cant help u there.

Friend requests on MySpace don't mean much of anything. You may never hear from some of these people ever again, so don't feel obligated to add just anyone. Some people just add real friends. Also, watch out for the spam bots. Basically, fake profiles. They'll be obvious. They usually have one photo...usually female, and have links to cam pics. Usually no comments on their profile, or no personal comments. Just "thanks for the add". You probably have spam mail by now as well. You'll figure all that out.

For Myspace code, just google the subject. Tons of sites offer plenty of options for your profile.

    Welcome to the Space.

Yeah that's what I figured with Miss Stuck-in-Africa...spam/scam. I can see it now, pay her bill, "my plane tickets expired", pay to reinstate them, "oh now I want to come thank you can you fly me from Kansas?", pay for tickets...stand at terminal with flowers in one hand and dick in the other wondering why she didn't disembark with the other passengers.

Yeah, I'm thinking of denying most of them, but some do share an overwhelming similarity to me in their own profiles so I might add them.

Honestly more concerned with getting my existing friends added, and making the page look cool...I want a full picture background.

    Yup, those ones

View the profile, if it looks bollocks it probably is, people will message you if they really want to know. Also , the more "friends" that you have , the more attractiive you are to spammers who can reach people through you. Look at some girl's profiles, they may have 578342 "friends" but many of those profiles are long dead(last visited 2005). I added hundreds of t girls at first but recently had a purge and deleted everyone that I have never spoke to in REAL LIFE or even messaged and whittled it down to a handful of people that I actually have something to say to. I read a couple of the girls' blogs but myspace is a great way for people to misrepresent themselves. It seems faily easy to hack also, some girls I just had to delete after their profile is overtaken with spam bulletins.

The same reason why I deleted my old myspace profile and began a new one. And not posting my own myspace link anymore cos I get alot of adds and at one point reaching 1500-2000 "friends" and I dont even know 95% of them nor do they keep in touch! LOL But mostly, I get alot of PM's which takes me days to open up, read or just simply go thru. Just too much work to even bother.

HURDLE #1: If guys would learn to stop over complementing, and not compliment every tranny (or girl) they see and talk to (so a girl would feel it was sincere and that she's special), maybe they'd get somewhere but a dead end! lol
