Thank you, Mia. Without a doubt, this is the best and most honest post I have read here. I have only dated a few TG women and never have been with an escort. Mia you did speak alot of truth in your post. My question to you though is where are the girls like you that want to walk down the street and hold hands? Where are the girls that want to be loved? There are guys are there that will love you. I know it is hard sometimes to tell between the ones who just want sex and someone that will want you for who you are. First off, i'm a physician so I just hope you make the right decision after carefully and honestly assessing your thought process. I think it's disingenous of some of you to say "well I can see that you have thought this out real well...or, what a poignant post". Please stop making fools of yourselves but worse yet, prodding a person in the process of a life altering decision into action, despite your good intentions. This post points to a disorganized thought process, several themes underlying the stated goal of this individual: from "i'm going post op" to "and the reason I'm going post op is because men won't love me wholly as long as I have this thing" to "society allows these men to enjoy us and then blend back into their lives with their wives" to "these people exploit us". How ironic that in one respect these men are your champions, finding reason to champion you as an actress, at the same time distancing themselves from you with the caveat "oh but she looks better than alot of girls". This must be frustrating for you. Do carefully think things through however before you make a life altering decision. You will not find answers or truly good advice on a message board of this nature apart from the advice you receive from fellow post op women.
You ought to carefully assess (and i mean use a flow chart and +/= columns and absolutely see a therapist or psychiatrist) the underlying nature of your dissatisfaction before you make a life altering decision of this magnitude. A professional will be very helpful in bringing out and engaging your underlying reasons for the change and it will help you determine if this is what will truly bring you joy in the future. It is likely that you would find a great deal of happiness in the future following SRS as it appears you have been in the business with a mind for the short term. This operation has improved to quite a degree over the past two decades and does appear to bring a great deal of happiness to its receipients. However, there are always exceptions and I think it best for you to carefully consider (certainly not become overly cautious) of SRS and request 1 on 1 advice from your true peers before this decision. Taking one part of my article and questioning it rather than answering it does not make you seem more intelligent or even deep. The only reason a TS would take such a drastic step is because internally they are a woman.
