We considered introducing a delayed posting system (one where posts could only be seen once vetted by a mod) but that would not only poison the site, but it would also be completely unfair to whomever the mod was at that particular shift.
After much discussion we've decided to leave things as they are for now. This site can be wild, unabashed and rough at times, but that adds to a certain (as the French would say) je ne sais quoi that I think is one of the major reasons that people visit this site. We have changes that will be made, but as for now I think we aren't going to (openly) tinker with the HungAngels recipe.

thanos, I'm glad to hear that. I find posting at TER forum frustrating for the very reason that hours, maybe even a day, can go by before a post is vetted and approved. Really makes it hard to develop a dialog. The SER forum is a better approach in that the mods only step in when needed, after a post is up, and I think they have a good handle on when to intercept a post (though they are too heavy-handed at insisting upon reviews in the review section rather than in the forum--a valid point, but taken to extreme); however, their system is so antiquated that it's kind of boring, plus the focus is almost exclusively on reviews of escorts--useful, but very limited. I appreciate the open nature of the forum here; it's very much like the approach in the forums I administer (wholly different industry, but it can get wild there, and we currently have over 5000 registered users, 10x that many unregistered, serving 3 million pageviews a month with about 100,000 posts and 9,000 topics--a moderated approach there would stop things stone cold), where the mods only step in as needed.

Self-moderation is the key, which I think almost everyone has been saying one way or another here lately. The events of the past couple of weeks have really built (World Series, election, Allanah's parties, new members, etc.) and I think we were all kind of swept up in the riptide of it all.

Ecstatic: I'm the moderator of the TS Board. You are right that the moderation makes it totally different in nature than this board. Everything has its niche in life. TER seems to have settled into its role as the board more oriented toward reviews and related information. I try to clear out messages 4-5 times per day but I do have a day job that requires travel and sometimes makes it hard to moderate more that twice a day.

Variety is the spice of life, they say. This site is more open season and seems to focus on lewd comments and pics of the girls, arguments with MEGA (which I enjoy), whatever is on Alannah's mind (or elsewhere on her lucious body) and euro-socialist rants by Seanchai. Its all good.
