AIM (Adult Industry Medical Foundation) is a nonprofit organisation in Sherman Oaks, CA (Not Germany. Maybe you have something similar?) and they specifically target sex workers and offer them testing and treatment.

Some companies do, some don't, and this has been a huge issue in the adult industry, especially given an HIV outbreak in the US industry fairly recently.

But most porn producers do NOT require testing (and to boot, even for those who do, some of the more benign STIs would not keep a performer out, even though it poses a hazard). All the worse, most porn performers willing to do film without latex barriers get paid more than those who insist on it, so the incentive is for people NOT to be safe.

It's fairly safe to say that most porn producers are not all that concerned with public health, or for the health and well-being of their actors. They care about making money.

Most of the porn made in America is made in the San Fernando Valley (the good ol' 81. There is a nonprofit organisation in Sherman Oaks called AIM (Adult Industry Medical Foundation) and they specifically target sex workers and offer them testing and treatment. The fifth and latest victim was described as a veteran of porn films, one of 14 people believed to have been infected during unprotected on-camera sex with Darren James, a porn actor who brought the virus back from Brazil where he had had unprotected sex during filming.

Sharon Mitchell, a former porn actress who now runs the HIV screening program for the non-profit Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation, said James had passed the virus to at least three co-stars.

The woman, whose positive test was revealed today, was one of about 50 performers under a 60-day quarantine because they had direct or indirect contact with James, Mitchell said.

Since James and actress "Lara Roxx" tested positive for HIV last month, AIM has issued a quarantine list of performers - identified only by their stage names - who worked with them or their sex partners.

The outbreak - the first since the 1990s among straight-porn actors - prompted many film studios to temporarily halt production.

Yesterday, a transsexual performer identified only as "Jennifer," was the fourth person to test positive, but her case does not appear related to three earlier positive HIV tests, Mitchell said.
