I just find it unbelievable that people still are drooling over a format made by a company that seems to favor failing over succeeding in media formats. They really have a horrible track record of media that fails. I'd like to see sony a few years from now, egg on face, wondering what that smell was when they woke up. It's failure and denial. And cheap hooker.

Xbox 360 is an amazing piece of hardware, games are great, the multi media hardware is absoluetly top notch. PS3 has nothing to outdo it, and every other PS3 exclusive game has jumped ship to X360, they've lost the Grand Theft Auto franchise and when Halo 3 is released it'll be PS what?

I have a 360, it's great. Just wish it had more than 20gb hard drive. There is a newer version coming out I think it's the 360 zepher.

    Sorta back on topic:

On the wiki I see that they've got an HD DVD player for the 360, it costs about $200, how much was the bluray player again? Considering that my folks were considering getting an HDTV to go with the Box, I think the HD player would actually tip the scales and get it bought after all. I'm thinking "how much porn can I store on an HD Disk?"... that is the question in my head at the moment and probably the deciding factor in this little dilemma. Even if they aren't made for storage I heard there's already lots of porn being published in HD. One of my instructors in the art college used to be the head of PBS in San Fran, the way he explained it all the big channels are going HD. Sesame Street with a zoom function... Pretty cool, eh?

If HD DVD has more capacity, imagine multiple films on one disc, with no lack of picture from the compression.

I was reading a few days back if you play a film called The Descent on a PS3 it's great, if you play the same disc on a Blu-Ray player there's no picture at all, just ironically a blue screen.

In the UK, the HD player for a X360 is £120 (with a free copy of King Kong), bargain!
