Pelosi chickens out again. Another fringe kook she hangs out to dry,stabbed in the back again.

Poor Hastings,all he did was conspire with his buddy to solicit bribes from defendants seeking lenient treatment in Hastings’s courtroom.His buddy refused to talk and Hastings walked.Hastings is guilty and would have gone to jail but alas,Clinton pardoned his buddy Borders in his flurry of signings letting all sorts of malcontents go free,including Borders himself.

Imagine Hastings,impeached and convicted from office for conspiring to take bribes as Chairman of House Intelligence Committee !


Pelosi passes Hastings for Intel chair

In a decision that could roil Democratic unity in the new House, Speaker-to-be Nancy Pelosi passed over Rep. Alcee Hastings (news, bio, voting record) Tuesday for the chairmanship of the Intelligence Committee.

Hastings, currently the No. 2 Democrat on the panel, had been aggressively making a case for the top position, supported by members of the Congressional Black Caucus.

In a sign of the bitterness that has surrounded the debate, Hastings closed his statement by saying: "Sorry, haters, God is not finished with me yet."
