Well, look ar Craigslist as an example. I've seen ads for girls here in the NYC area on Eros who also advertise on CL with a different name. IF you dig a little deeper and find reviews or even ask around, you're likely to find that there is at least one or two people who had less than a lousy time with her and have posted warnings on her not-so-stellar performance. The gurls change their name in hope that the new guy doesn't know who she is and takes the chance of her.
Thats just my take it as you will.

some of my favorite girls constantly change their names and it's not because they're hiding bad reviews. If you're a reliable regular customer and use their "real" name when you call to make an appointment, they're able to weed out the time wasters and wacko's.
a friend of mine uses a different name every week in her Village Voice ad. she's always "new in town" even though she's lived in the same Brooklyn appartment for 6 years. It's just good marketing.
