    Default Oral and HIV

In soft and hardcore videos, and the plethora of pics on the web, I've noticed that the majority of blow job scenes are performed without condoms. I presume there is a consensus among people on the street that the risk of contracting HIV via blowjobs with a TG seems to be low enough to do it without condoms. Surely, medical professionals will always recommend safe oral sex with a condom regardless. But what I'm curious about is, what makes people seem to feel that this is safe? I'm just curious, because I've fell into the temptation of having oral on me by a TG without a condom based on what I've seen portrayed, only to get a bacterial infection once. Of course, that's perfectly expected as a possibility. However, ... why why why do people feel this is safe where HIV is concerned?

Again ... just curious, and all comments, thoughts, and ideas are welcome. Not really fishing for any certain position or opinion on this.

you have to remember that porn is a business.... to take part in a legal porn movie the actor/actress has to provide sufficient paperwork which gives them a clean bill of health... well at least no STD's.

this side of the business is not shown in the movies. as for safe sex..... the only kind is no sex...

but in reality... if you are having a one night stand or are not familiar with your partner you really need to get some protection whether you are doing oral or anal...

maybe after a couple of meetings when you both feel comfortable with one another it might be an option to loose the raincoat...

    ;~)

    It is NOT safe.

Yet it is safER in some respects, if you follow the roolz.

I had a 'lover' (Male) who was HIV+ from the age of sixteen (Isn't that a comment on modern day society?) and we played, relatively freely, within certain boundaries.

I never let him come in my mouth (Or anywhere else without protection), but basic oral sex/fellatio was "low-risk". There are enzymes in the mouth that somehow play against HIV (Why can't they harness that to fight the damned bug?!?) and swallowing hasn't presented a great deal of evidence towards contraction of AIDS.

Of course, this varies when adding other risk factors (Bleeding gums, etc.).

maybe after a couple of meetings when you both feel comfortable with one another it might be an option to loose the raincoat...
Yah, a nice thought, but a serious trust issue. How well do you know the gurl? It's a judgement call.

it's all about judgment.... you knew the rules and you knew the guys situation yet you still decided to take a risk, albeit a small risk becasue you chose to keep all risk factors to a minimum.

Exactly. In another situation I had a GG 'lover' who later went on to murder her mother. That we had already seperated reduced my risk factors to a minimum.

Play safe, play sane, and you may yet live to play again.

Interesting note on that. I saw a documentary years ago where a physician took a female prostitute who was terminally ill with HIV with only 6 months to live. He took samples of her white blood cells, grew them in the lab, and then gave her regular injections once a week of those white blood cells. Basically, he barraged her immune system with more white blood cells than it could ever produce, thereby enabling her immune system to get an upper hand on the HIV virus. Less than a year later, she was back to full health, full weight, and numerous blood tests could not find a trace of HIV. While they could not prove definitively that she was free of the HIV, they pretty much concluded her illness went into full remission as a result of the white blood cell treatment.

I wonder why the medical community never pursued this treatment. And in the end, somehow he lost funding for his research. Go figure!

Are you sure it was from the Oral from this particular TS? I'm also curious what kind of bacterial infection.

    Thanks.

Oh yeah. It started the very next day. Burning, itching, dripping, and all. Doc put me on anti-biotics, and cleared it up in a couple of days.
