It's not an article.
Trans woman and especially trans women of colour, suffer violence or die you at an alarmingly high statistic. It's not just about the cause of death, but because of the lack of options for them, they often have to be in situations, lifestyles or areas which can be a factor in their death. This is a systematic failure of having more options available to them.

There is also a pattern of killings, of trans women, and again especially trans women of colour, where the law enforcement aren't as involved in solving it as they may be for other groups, and the anti-trans rhetoric sweeping the US (and other places in the world), supports this.
