Default SNP in Disarray with Nicola Away?

The shock resignation of Nicola Sturgeon has plunged the SNP into a leadership contest, and for some the party is in disarray as it poses major questions with regard to any Independence Campaign to which Sturgeon was committed, and at which she failed; and the Gender Recognition Bill/Act which has divided the party and may yet fail to become law in Scotland.

The wider question, in what has she succeeded and failed, there is a brief overview in the link below. There is no doubt she was an improvement on Alex Salmond, and a phenomenal success at the ballot box, and I am not so sure Labour should now assume it can regain its once dominant position in Scotland, so right now, we just have to wait and see who takes part in the dance around the circle before becoming First Minister.

    But Independence?

Nicola Sturgeon won elections but failed to use the power she had to change lives - Paul Hutcheon - Daily Record

"...had we Scotland free, Scotland equal to our love, a white,
spirited, generous- Scotland, without petty, paltry, vapid bourgeoisie,
without the loathesomeness of capitalists, without
hateful, crass graft, the mettlesome Scotland of the free, the
Scotland of our blood, the Scotland of our love, I would
break the legitimate law of the kings, I would break the sure
law of the wise, I would proclaim you queen of Scotland in
    spite of the new republic..."
    (Sorley MacLean)

    Meanwhile, the people dance

Is it the last dance for Hamza Yusuf?

Will Ash Regan become the executioner of the SNP?

I know what you're thinking: Ash who?

Or maybe the Scottish public are still bewildered by the staggering cost of two ferry boats -not that you need to be a Nationalist to be incompetent, the English Conservatives are doing very well at it. So what happened to the UK's Norway of the North?

"The original contract, which was accused of being rigged, was supposed to cost £97m but mismanagement and a string of blunders, including installing the wrong cables on an entire vessel, means the final costs are likely to rob the public purse of £400m.The cash-cow project has been described as one of the biggest procurement disasters in the history of Scottish devolution."
