I am not one of those people who read these stories and say 'serves them right'. These are desperately sad stories because none of the people who have refused to be vaccinated needed to die. It is obvious that none of us can force another to be rational when making decisions, though irrational decisions are often made in an instant and not after careful thought. The arguments that have been made to reject vaccination have for the most part been irrational, while the proof of the effectivenes of vaccine is as clear as day. It is quite shocking, and ultimately sad indeed that families are losing mothers and fathers because of a deliberate decision to reject the truth.

There is nothing to feel smug about in these cases, but a renewed attempt again and again to put the verifiable science before the people to offer them a rational choice that extends life, and does not end it.

New York, NY (CNN)The media may not be paying enough attention to the influence of Christian broadcasters when it comes to Covid-19, CNN chief media correspondent Brian Stelter said on "Reliable Sources" Sunday.

Lamb, a popular Christian televangelist who founded Daystar Television in 1997, touted alternative remedies over vaccines to his viewers. At least five conservative media personalities who promoted vaccine skepticism have died of Covid-19.
"The Covid pandemic has been very difficult for churches," Bob Smietana, national writer at Religion News Service, said on "Reliable Sources" Sunday. "It shut them down ... it has become seen as an attack on religion."
Lamb felt he was preaching the truth about vaccines — claiming they were part of a conspiracy by Big Pharma, the media and the government, and that alternative medicine was a better option.
CNN's chief media correspondent Brian Stelter said there's a "toxic merger" of right-wing politics and some churches.
"They're preaching the gospel of Donald Trump and vaccine denialism," Stelter said.

Belgian kickboxer Frederic Sinistra has died from COVID-19 complications after discharging himself from hospital.

A vocal anti-vaxxer, Sinistra - known as 'The Undertaker' - told his social media followers that he would treat his symptoms away from hospital.

Sinistra had previously called COVID-19 the "little virus" and "hair flu" in his social media posts, and shared images of himself receiving oxygen treatments, as well as a video of himself struggling to breathe while adding he had "no time to waste with lazy people."
