Based on a small sample of tgirls that I've discussed this with, many mtf's use spironlactone to reduce their testosterone uptake and increase the efficacy of femininzing hormones (various forms of estrogen and progesterone) Spiro has some unpleasant side effects and after orchiectomy is no longer necessary. the post orch t girl can also vastly reduce the doses of feminizing hormones (they're no longer pushing back against testosterone) and large doses of feminizing hormones have their own nasty side effects. so it makes the feminizing hormone ride a lost smoother.
