Trans dating sites

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried a trans dating site and what experiences you might have had.
Seems like most trans I see online are escorts, which is fine, but I'm much more interested in
dating. What experiences have you had -- good or bad. Looking for information from guys or gurls!

Every single trans woman I've ever known, slept with, dated, or been platonic friends with has made extensive use of dating sites and apps. However, in the last 5 or 10 years, as mainstream platforms have become more welcoming to trans women, the ones looking for romantic rather than professional connections have migrated away from niche sites to places like OkCupid, Tinder, Bumble, etc.

My experience using trans dating sites was mixed but ultimately positive, since I met my partner on one and we've been together almost 10 years at this point. However, before meeting her, I encountered flakes, pros, crazies, and lots of non-responses.

I met my wife (who is trans) randomly, but most of her single (trans) friends are using Bumble/Tinder or OK Cupid.

Lol I'm in the same boat. Meet a few through OK cupid and they started giving me prices. It's like, really? I didn't ask for this.

Ran into a few other sites which were literally scams or only had 3 in my area.

I tried Craigslist back in the day, and corresponded with one trans lady. We seemed to have a good rapport, but she lived a good distance away, and at the time a long-distance relationship would have been difficult. I have been on Doublelist, which is similar to CL. There are a few gurls that have ads there. They're pretty strict about keeping escorts off, and I haven't seen many advertise. I do occasionally see a gurl on there, and I corresponded with one for a bit, but we never connected. In one of her ads she said she had stage 4 cancer, and I think she may have died. I haven't seen any ads from her in awhile.

I was once tempted to date an escort. I was horny one night and went to see her. She was older, compared to the other escorts, probably mid-30s. We had a pretty good time together, with kissing and cuddling and mutual sucking. We really cuddled and talked for about three hours, which never happens with escorts. She said I could have spent the night with her, but she had to get up early in the morning to go out of town. However, she told me that her boyfriend had just broken up with her, because somebody in his family had seen her escort ad and outed him. He couldn't handle it, so he broke up. I felt that if I had asked her out, she would have gone out with me. We had some things in common, including the fact that both of our Moms had recently died. However, I wasn't sure I wanted to date someone that was working as an escort. I sometimes look back on that and wonder what might have been.

Thanks. I'll check it out. I've looked at some of these sites, but I'm afraid to give them a credit card number, because I'm afraid that if I want to close my account, they'll keep charging me. I'm guessing you didn't have that problem.

I used transgenderdate years ago, before it became a pay site. I connected with and dated several trans women who I met there. In it's heyday, transgenderdate was by far the best niche dating site for trans women and admirers. However, there are a couple things to be aware of.

First, there are escorts/sugar babies looking for work/sugar daddies on the site who are not candid about that goal in their profiles, so be cautious. Second, I noticed there are a lot of trans women there who have been extremely active on the site for years (i.e., participating in forums, blogs, a chat feature, etc.) but really only use the site for networking with other trans women. And lastly, the admins never ever purge inactive profiles so the number of users is significantly smaller than what is claimed. For example, I randomly logged last year after a 9+ year absence and I noticed an account for a friend who passed away 8 years ago.
