i like Blaire but she's wrong here. Being trans lessens muscle mass, and the fact a person competed as a man and then transitioned is moot.

And she is making a generalisation across sports. if an mft trans woman was a male soccer player and played women's football, i don't see the difference. brute strength is not required like in other sports.
it should be evaluated in a case by case basis.
i don't see how it would matter in track and field - long-distance, not really. sprinting, again this is more due to fast-twitch muscles than muscle mass per se.

tennis? motor sport? Archery? i dunno. again, it's case by case.

Men are in general, taller, stronger, and faster. Anyone who lives in the real world knows that. This kind of stuff is what you get when you feed people's delusions.

For what it's worth, this is a lose-lose situation for all involved.
The solution is simple but ugly -transgendered athletes either compete amongst themselves, or with noone. The controversy is too complex, just consider the case of Caster Semenya and you will enter the fraught world of regulation in sports, in itself a minefield of obscurity, for how many athletes can compete in major tournaments without a diet that consists of the food and drink you and I eat, and a cocktail of 'stimulants' and 'peformance related' drugs some of which are allowed, some not?
No, sport is already overloaded with controversy, the last thing it needs is a problem that cannot even be properly defined, let alone solved to everyone's satisfaction.
