Whether it is the first ones you ever heard /read about when you was younger or whether it is fairly recent one, all stories be interesting to hear.

Good choices Lily. My first influence was Dana International. She was the first Transwoman I had heard of a youngster in the 90s and it really stirred my imagination.

I don't know a lot of trans people other than people in porn, but that's because of connecting. I very rarely actually watch trans porn.

I was introduced to trans by seeing content from Vaniity probably around 2005. I don't know much about her nor do I really look for her stuff, but I wouldn't be in the same place I am right now without discovering her.

Sarina Valentina taught me a lot tips being trans and is really open about her life/views. When she was younger with black hair I think we shared a lot of similar qualities.

Buck Angel is also a huge part of the trans community and a really smart person. He does a lot to educate people about trans/porn industry and is a big human rights activist.

This is a very good question that has me thinking. Firstly I have to say that any transwoman who walks proudly with their head held high will be influential. To just a few people or to many. As in the states and elsewhere it's becoming more acceptable but isn't exactly easy. I love it when transgenders are confident, but sweet at the same time. The first time I ever saw a transgender woman, it was around 2010/ 2011 in the Hangover II, Yasmine Lee. I was just as shocked as the guys in the movie, but I was shocked and amazed. So her role in that movie influenced my knowledge and attraction to transwoman. I consider myself fairly new to transgenders still, I'll say about late 2017 I met, spoke to, and took an interest in a transgender woman for the first time. She was with her friends and they were more attractive than any of the women in this upscale club. The MOST influential is tough, but I personally believe it's something that deserves categories. I would say Amiyah Scott who stars in the TV show Star and Laverne Cox from Orange is the New Black TV show wise. You can add Carmen Carrera from Drag Race, no relation both mixed with Puerto Rican , and Caitlyn Jenner as far as reality TV goes. I think I read somewhere that the LBGT community criticizes Jenner alot because of political stance and that may have changed recently. In the adult film industry there seems to be so many. I know Venus Lux is a producer and director now. Just heard of Buck Angel recently and please don't judge me, but I wasn't too familiar of transmen until now. TS Madison started in the adult films, but she is an internet personality now. She is very outspoken haha. There is a Youtube channel called T Time Network where they discuss different issues in the trans community. I want to see one leading transwoman as host of a day or nighttime talk show. It doesn't have to be on a major network at first, maybe Youtube than gain popularity. Inviting activist, film stars, models, students etc. I feel like that person will be most influential.

Renee Richards was the first transsexual I ever read or heard about in the media. She played top-level women's tennis as a post-op TS in the late 1970s, after having played on the men's circuit in the late 1950s. She was allowed to play in the women's comp after a court ruling that was a landmark case in transgender rights.
