    Default Escorting

Isn't this the same as prostitution? I have nothing against it but it is illegal in for example New York. Does the police ever arrest some ts-girls who work as an escort?? And what about taxes?? Do escorts pay incometax?

escorting is a less offensive word than prostitution and technically means your paying for someone's time, not necessarily sex.

My boss invites me to his kid's Bar Mitvah. I can't get out of it but feel awkward going alone. I may take an escort to impress my coworkers that I'm in a relationship with a hottie.

above is just a hypothetical. it's pretty pathetic, but I'm sure it must happen.

I believe that prostitution is just sex, although escorting may be not only sex.
I also believe that nobody would hire a ts escort just for company.
Of course, that is my opinion.
As far as the legal status is concerned, i believe that escorts charge for time, not for services, so it has to be legit in a way.
Btw, did anybody ever asked for the check in order for the escort to pay taxes? Coz if the job is tottaly tax free, then i will do it myself next thing tomorrow morning ..

Yes. There! It's said. Yet, after forty-eight hours of mental, verbal, and physical abuse at a government job, I feel that I am as much, if not moreso, a whore as they might be called. I sell what I have to get what I need. For some, that's a physical commodity.

As for legality, it is relative to location and twist of phrase. Certain localities in Nevada, for example, and the famous Red Light District of Amsterdam not only allow it, but celebrate, regulate, and tax the bejeezus out of it. Will Shetterly ran for Governor of Minnesota on a Libertarian platform that included legalization and regulation of prostitution (But Jesse Ventura was the bigger name).

Yah, the cops bag Ts, Gs, and Whatsis's as regularly as they chow on powdered donuts. It's an occupational hazard and woe to the gurl that plays on the edge. Upscale ones most likely have a suit on speed-dial and can be home fixing dinner in an hour, those on the lower rungs can tell tales of Charles Street, Cook County, or NYC's infamous "Tombs".

To taxes, again relative to gurl and situation. I once used my credit card to pay for a date, and you can imagine the amount of 'paper trail' that follows such a transaction (Hell, my own bank questioned me about the odd amount, location, and timing of it for security reasons). I'm sure that this is an isolated, or at least rare, situation. Smart ones will play the numbers and file a Schedule C (Proprietorship) with believable tags to keep the IRS happy. Heh, In Xavier Hollander's book "The Happy Hooker", she said some processed checks and charges as 'Interior Decorators' and 'Party Organizers'. If they are living in a $750k condo or house and have a brand new Vette in the parking space, they'd best have a viable explanation should the Uncle come knockin'.

My boss invites me to his kid's Bar Mitvah. I can't get out of it but feel awkward going alone. I may take an escort to impress my coworkers that I'm in a relationship with a hottie.
I would actually do this, if I were in such an upscale position and need the window-dressing for the event (I've actually done just that, with understanding GG friends). Granted, for such an expense, I'd also have some expectation of intimacies (And would choose the escort accordingly), but I'm a pig. And frugal.

The escort/companion/prostitute thing is so convoluted and morphs on so many levels. Feh. The only reason I play that dance is because I'm so bruised and broken from "real" relationships that I've tired of the game-playing. Be it a quiet dinner for two or knockin' boots to the wee hours, I've found professionals more...well...professional. Damned amateurs'll just fuck you up.

    yes

yes, when things are slow, for giggles and predjudice and when odered to do so by higher ups

And what about taxes?? Do escorts pay incometax?
Does it matter, do the math, the sum total of the tax take would probably pay for thirty t-girl busts and prosecutions, thus if they don't and the police are busy with crime, it's probably a wash.
