Recently, I had the opposite experience of using Grindr and being recognized IRL--I recognized someone from IRL on Grindr. It worked out well. I messaged saying something like, "Always see you in the neighborhood--you're hella cute." She replied immediately and a few hours later we were hanging out.

I mean at some point in your life it becomes tedious to care this much. What is the worst possible outcome? Ppl think you're gay? Oh no! Idk maybe it's just getting older but you stop caring what people think more bc it legit means nothing. In all likelihood you'd probably meet more ladies honestly.

Maybe it depends on where you're located? In the SF Bay Area, there are definitely non-pros on Grindr looking for fun, dates and even relationships. Which is not to say their aren't a lot of escorts too. But it's pretty easy to distinguish escorts, catfish, and scammers, from girls with straight jobs.
