Discussing the differences between TS's. kind of a spin off
@Ecstatic
Many TS transition late in life and will never look sufficiently passable to work successfully as escorts (please note, I mean no offense here at all, simply looking at the statistics).
That aside, I have to agree with J on Mega's question being inherently unfair. It's like saying "you're a [fill in the blank--cab driver, fireman, lawyer, whatever], but would you want your sister to marry one?" Moreover, there are many different TS scenes, not just the one. Broaden your horizons.
It should be understood that type of TS is not ever being discussed here. They are a distinclty different animal than any of the girls you will find here.
@Ruby.
First while I am sure your observations are true they are only particular to the set of transsexuals you know personally. Another person in another place could have totally opposite personal experiences.
Let us see what science has to say about this.
You are right to point out that not all transsexuals are the same for the reasons I cited above. However it is false to believe that the type of transsexual we are is monolitic either. In terms of sexual activity the psychologist who study us have this to say about our sexual activity . Their are three subtypes of transsexual who is into men and starts hormones young. The sub type that seems most likely to be found in porno represents only 37% of all transsexuals who like men.
Then there is the fact that we all have differnet goals and desires and abilities. Our environments are never ever 100% the same. A young TS who has understanding parents and a liberal community could avoid escorting compleately. A young TS who loves men and being female just as much as anyone here could be hesistant to transition if it would hurt their chance of having the career they want. Many many more things than I can list here would effect the decisions on weather or not to live as a woman and should they or should they not escort for a living.
