I can relate to this because in the days before the internet something else had to stimulate the curiosity/interest. In my case it began with television, then real life, but definitely the 'street scene' which did not exist in London until at least the 1990s (a few girls in the vicinity of Earls Court underground station) but which brought you face to face with women you did not think existed. I was with an American girl in Paris in 1973, she had paid for her European tour by stripping across the Mid-West, and we were with some Belgians in a bar in Pigalle and in the corner were two extraordinary girls in hot pants, looking bored. She leaned into my ear when she saw me leering at them 'they're guys' she said, and it all fell into place. Pity the street scene has become so fraught these days but I guess change is change. Would not have thought it would be found in Kansas City, but what do I know?
And also, how difficult, even desperate it must have been for the girls in those days.

Well I was describing almost 40 years ago. She was an exception at the time. Implants, very feminine, etc. I really didn't have much luck until I was living in Vegas in the 90's. I've met a few since coming back to KC in 2010 but I really don't know where to look. There is a bar that will have some but sometimes they are working and then there's the dope. Looking on the street really isn't an option as the streets have become rather sketchy. KC has it's dangerous areas and sometimes the two intersect.

I'm not giving up and will keep trying. I met a gurl working at an Old Navy and have gotten to know her. Once we got past the fact that I knew and didn't care it became much easier. What's worked best for me is just letting them know that I want to get to know them as a person and not as something different.
