Mollie Tibetts: No rest, No peace, No dignity
I had not heard or read about this case until the last 24 hours, but am not surprised that such a dreadful event should be manipulated by shabby politicians who want to score points by scapegoating the alleged killer as an emblematic threat. One wonders if the pure Christian Mike Pence will forgive the alleged murderer, when he has stopped trying to score points from the crime.
Even the former chat show host turned 'campaigner' (for what, exactly?) Geraldo had a public row with his own network, Fox over their coverage of the event. What did he expect from Murdoch's channel?
So I haven't read much about it but did come across this article which I think expresses the frustration with those for whom some victims of crime are awarded more publicity than others. There are times when a victim deserves more than what they get from venal politicians and press hounds who can only go low when the crime suggests they aim higher.
