Default AVN Awards Show Tickets Go On Sale to the Public

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Tickets for the 24th annual AVN Awards Show to be held Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas will go on sale to the public beginning Saturday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m.

Tickets range from $107 to $240, and are available through Ticketmaster (702.474.4000) or the Mandalay Bay Events Center Box Office (877.632.7400).

Wicked Pictures contract star Jessica Drake will host the ceremony, which honors the best performers, movies and companies in adult entertainment for the past year. Drake is a three-time AVN award-winner who started her adult film career in 2000.

This year’s show is expected to be the biggest ever as the Mandalay Bay Events Center has a capacity of 7,000 specifically for the AVN Awards Show.

“The show has become much bigger than an industry event and it has been crossing over into the mainstream,” said Paul Fishbein, AVN president and founder. “At the Mandalay Bay Events Center, every seat is a good seat. The amphitheatre setting helps everyone have a perfect view and though the table seating is for the industry only, there are great seats to be had at lower prices than last year.”

You know how AVN got started? Paul was working in a video store (Movies Unlimited) in Philadelphia back in the early 80's. They had a newsletter and he started writing reviews of the porn tapes for customers The rest is history...

P.S. I've never met the man, but we are related by marriage.

I s'pose this is where I'm s'posed to say "Mnyah, mnyah! I have vendor passes!", but it loses its 'oomph' when I have neither a travel budget or the time to attend.

    Fuck. My life truly sux.
