Re: AMA - Steven Grooby (Ask Me Anything)
Well I appreciate the reply, Cereal. But I think the situation with t-girls is different than that with genetic girls. T-girls are a private pleasure. I can't speak for anyone else, but for myself, I live in a very conservative area - southern Utah. Not only would I never talk about my love for t-girls around here, I'd be SHOCKED beyond belief if anyone else did. It'd be a career killer here.
So sure, everyone wants someone who will love them for who they are. But if some ultra-rich guy has a totally "normal" sexual outlook and is only interested in genetic women, he can play the field indefinitely and publicly, until he finds the one he's looking for. On the other hand, that same man might be committing financial suicide if he's seen in public dating t-girls, no matter what the law says, and no matter if the majority of regular citizens think it's just fine. There's always that type of person looking to bring the other guy down for his own benefit, and the press is always looking to help.
So a guy like that is relegated to satisfying his desires via t-girl porn (okay, it's been a while since I've been on this site - some perusing has enlightened me that "shemale" is no longer a desired terminology; hereafter I won't use it anymore). And he sees a t-girl he wants to get to know better, so he discreetly enlists her services for money, then falls in love, then decides something along the lines of, "I'll take care of you, but no more porn or prostitution."
Just saying, I've seen a lot of the higher-end t-girls disappear from porn at the height of their fame and loveliness. And I wonder if that's what happened to them.
I'm asking Steven the question because, first of all, it's a rare opportunity to do so, and secondly, him being in the business, if this does happen I'm sure he has seen it happen. And if it's commonplace I think he'd know that as well.

Re: AMA - Steven Grooby (Ask Me Anything)
Hi
I don't know if the black GG's do not work/shoot with the black TS models? Where do you get that information from? I think you may be making an assumption because you haven't seen that much girl on girl involving both black non-trans and trans girls? I think the easier explanation is that it just doesn't get shot often because there isn't a huge call/market for it. Our research/feedback on black girl on girl (trnas or non-trans), is that it doesn't sell as well as black girls with guys.
There are a few black models working in this niche (Daisy Ducati).

Re: AMA - Steven Grooby (Ask Me Anything)
It's a theory but I don't think it's particularly correct. I think there are many girls both trans and non-trans, adult industry and non-adult industry, who would like that ultimate prize - but it's not exclusive or why trans girls go into the adult industry. Many go into the adult industry to raise their profile for escorting (a well know 'star' can charge more than a not well known one).
They go away for various reasons, many just find that working in adult sites doesn't pay the rent and when the excitement of doing them wears off, drift elsewhere - often with partners who don't want them performing, but not necessarily rich ones.

Re: AMA - Steven Grooby (Ask Me Anything)
I'm sure it does happen - but it's not the 'norm'. I think you're projecting and making some bigger assumptions based on the environment that you live in. There are relatively small numbers of trans girls (which is why they are called unicorns) and a relatively larger number of interested men, many who come from cities, areas, and confidence to live their lives, regardless of what the neighbour might think (most of them don't really care one way or the other).

Thank you Steven. Your answer satisfies my curiosity. Very nice of you to take your time to do this AMA. And you're right about my environment - if t-girls are "unicorns" in other areas, in mine (southern Utah) they are...well, is there something rarer than unicorns? I know - unicorn eggs.

Re: AMA - Steven Grooby (Ask Me Anything)
Interesting but not overly surprising. The LDS church is quite oppressive, much moreso than any other church to which I've been exposed. Utah has the highest suicide rate among women of any state, and one of the highest runaway rates among teens, but these things are never addressed, merely brushed off as "God's will." Pretty much any choice a person makes that violates Mormon doctrine (which doesn't take much) means being ostracized by the entire community - a practice that is not only condoned, but in fact demanded by the church. I'm not a Mormon or an ex-Mormon BTW, just a transplant. This is a beautiful state, filled with prosperous but religiously-oppressed people.
