I think the solution is not a edit option, but a list of banned words. if an adult knows that he or she will be offensive to other users (and tries to write the words anyway, it means that this user is being stupid on purpose), then the site should simply block the word from being posted. In titles or in replies to topics.

A small step in a change in attitude towards trans woman would be accomplished.

    1. No I wouldn't look at changing the threads, the same way we didn't go back through 21 years of content and erase history when we changed Shemale Yum to GroobyGirls.
    2. No we're not censoring or editing those words here. I can't think of a word that we do censor, so certainly not going to start with them.

If it does offend you, then you are welcome to post about it. But this site also isn't going to become anything than it always has been.

Very different to change the name of a product than to go back and edit or sanitize history.

Couldn't words/thread titles that aren't appropriate be put in the same category as things like requesting links to tube sites/providing them?

Then those that repeat offend get a warning and eventually a ban for a period of time; they might think more about what language they use if eventually they lose site access for a period of time.

No. We're not policing words which are used in context.
Just because those words doesn't work for one group of people, they might be acceptable to another.
