Who's going to war on the homosexual issue? It appears that you are wrong again...

Nice try, stooge... but no cigar. The fact is that this is about a hypocritical piece of shit named Tom Foley attempting to seduce minors. Minors who he was in a position of authority over.

Family Research Council: Blame "the gay" for Foleygate

You all remember the Family Research Council, right? They're the ultra-conservative culture warriors who were founded by James Dobson back in the Reagan era and are now headed up by Tony Perkins (not the "Psycho" Tony Perkins...well. not exactly). They're the ones who want to ban hotel porn and who have this thing about homosexuality, to the point where they believe that TV's Sponge Bob SquarePants is gay. They were here in Philly earlier this year to hype then-future Supreme Sam Alito at "Justice Sunday III," with Sen. Rick Santorum seated at their right hand.

Well, this whole Rep. Mark Foley page scandal is what Ned Flanders might call "a dilly of a pickle" for the FRC. Foley's emails to young male pages are the type of immoral behavior that is, in theory, the group's raison d' etre, when in fact their real purpose is to make sure their GOP allies retain control of Washington.

Since the Foley mess has gotten too big for them to keep their mouth shut -- the preferred course of action -- they have fallen back on Plan B.

    Blame "the gay."

Tonight, the FRC sends us this email:

Democrats seeking to exploit the resignation of Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL) are right to criticize the slow response of Republican congressional leaders to his communications with male pages. But neither party seems likely to address the real issue, which is the link between homosexuality and child sexual abuse. Foley, an unmarried 52-year-old representative, had always refused to answer questions about his sexual orientation. Now that his emails and messages to teenage male pages have been revealed, it appears clear that Foley is a homosexual with a particular attraction to underage boys. While pro-homosexual activists like to claim that pedophilia is a completely distinct orientation from homosexuality, evidence shows a disproportionate overlap between the two. Although almost all child molesters are male and less than 3% of men are homosexual, about a third of all child sex abuse cases involve men molesting boys--and in one study, 86% of such men identified themselves as homosexual or bisexual. Ignoring this reality got the Catholic Church into trouble over abusive priests, and now it is doing the same to the House GOP leadership. They discounted or downplayed earlier reports concerning Foley's behavior--probably because they did not want to appear "homophobic." The Foley scandal shows what happens when political correctness is put ahead of protecting children.

Frankly, we're trying to think of one thing that the GOP leadership in D.C. has ever done to not appear "homophobic" -- we'll do an update if we think of one. In the meantime, we can tell you that the scandal here is not one of political correctness, but political self-preservation run amok. Neither party has a corner on morality when it comes to the individual sins of its members; but the Republicans running the show in Congress went to great lengths to keep the lid on the Foley scandal, to save a safe seat in a tough election, and maybe to have some, ahem, "leverage" on Foley on close votes.

In doing so, they have handed Democrats something the Democrats themselves had been incapable of thinking up, a slogan for the fall election: "Republicans Wanted to Protect Their Jobs Before They Protected Your Children."

    Foley's Showdown With ABC

On Friday afternoon, a strategist for Rep. Mark Foley tried to cut a deal with ABC's Brian Ross.

The correspondent, who had dozens of instant messages that Foley sent to teenage House pages, had asked to interview the Florida Republican. Foley's former chief of staff said the congressman was quitting and that Ross could have that information exclusively if he agreed not to publish the raw, sexually explicit messages.

"I said we're not making any deals," Ross recalls. He says the Internet made the story possible, because on Thursday he posted a story on his ABC Web page, the Blotter, after obtaining one milder e-mail that Foley had sent a 16-year-old page, asking for a picture. Within two hours, former pages had e-mailed Ross and provided the salacious messages. The only question then, says Ross, was "whether this could be authenticated."

The St. Petersburg Times last fall obtained the earlier e-mail, asking the 16-year-old for a picture, and interviewed the boy, who wrote a friend that he considered the message "sick." But the boy would not go on the record.

Executive Editor Neil Brown says the paper's policy against making accusations based on unnamed sources was a factor. "We just didn't feel like we had the story," he says. "We had a lot of stuff implied. . . . If I had it to do over again, I think we probably would have been more organized about pursuing it. But hindsight is 20/20."

The paper did interview Foley, who assured a reporter that the e-mail exchange was innocent, Brown says.

You all should have heard the actors reading of the instant messages between Fooley and the Teen on Opie and Anthony today. It was hilarious! Comedian, Jim Norton read the Teen's part and Anthony read Fooley's part and Opie directed complete with AOL sound effects. You can probably catch the replay on XM from now till 6AM, or on the weekend. But they did the actual broadcast on free fm on their 30 or so stations. It was hilarious!

Three More Former Pages Accuse Foley of Online Sexual Approaches
    October 05, 2006 5:20 PM

Three more former congressional pages have come forward to reveal what they call "sexual approaches" over the Internet from former Congressman Mark Foley.

The pages served in the classes of 1998, 2000 and 2002. They independently approached ABC News after the Foley resignation through the Brian Ross & the Investigative Team's tip line on ABCNews.com. None wanted their names used because of the sensitive nature of the communications.

"I was seventeen years old and just returned to [my home state] when Foley began to e-mail me, asking if I had ever seen my page roommates naked and how big their penises were," said the page in the 2002 class.

The former page also said Foley told him that if he happened to be in Washington, D.C., he could stay at Foley's home if he "would engage in oral sex" with Foley.

The page told ABC News he was interviewed this week by FBI agents who had a six-page list of questions about Foley and the exchanges.

The second page who talked with ABC News, a graduate of the 2000 page class, says Foley actually visited the old page dorm and offered rides to events in his BMW.

"His e-mails developed into sexually explicit conversations, and he asked me for photographs of my erect penis," the former page said.

The page said Foley maintained e-mail contact with him even after he started college and arranged a sexual liaison after the page had turned 18.

The third page interviewed by ABC News, a graduate of the 1998 page class, said Foley's instant messages began while he was a senior in high school.

"Foley would say he was sitting in his boxers and ask what I was wearing," the page said.

"It became more weird, and I stopped responding," the page said.

All three pages described similar instant message and e-mail patterns, with remarkably similar escalations of provocative questions.

"He didn't want to talk about politics," the page said. "He wanted to talk about sex or my penis," the page said.

The three new verbal accounts are in addition to two sets of sexually explicit instant messages provided to ABC News by former pages.

An online story on the Drudge Report Thursday claimed one set of the sexually explicit instant messages obtained by ABC News was part of a "prank" on the part of the former page, who reportedly says he goaded the congressman into writing the messages.

"This was no prank," said one of the three former pages who talked to ABC News today about his experience with the congressman.

Chefmike is a pathological liar. A simpleton of a sock puppet.

The FBI never bothered investigating Rep. Foley.

    Why?

The page in question was 18 years old.

The FBI has contacted a former congressional page from Kentucky as part of the burgeoning investigation, said Daniel London, chief of staff to Rep. Ron Lewis (news, bio, voting record), R-Ky., who sponsored the teen.

Attorneys for the Justice Department and the House negotiated on how to give investigators access to Foley's files without inciting a legal battle like the one after the FBI raided the office of Rep. William Jefferson (news, bio, voting record), D-La., earlier this year.

Ex-Foley chief of staff Kirk Fordham met with the FBI. Fordham emerged as a key figure Wednesday when he told reporters that he had talked three years ago with top aides to Hastert about Foley's conduct with pages.

Fordham's version directly contradicts an account issued by Hastert's office on Saturday, saying the speaker's staff only learned of an "over-friendly" e-mail exchange between Foley and a single page. Hastert's top aide, Scott Palmer, denies that Fordham warned top GOP aides of Foley and inappropriate conduct with other pages.

Foley, 52, stepped down Friday after he was confronted with sexually explicit electronic messages he had sent teenage male pages and promptly checked into an alcohol rehabilitation clinic. Through his lawyer, he has said he is gay but denied any sexual contact with minors.

Hastert, meanwhile, is holding to his assertion that he did not know about messages sent by Foley to a former House page until the scandal broke last week.

He issued a less than ringing endorsement of his staff and Rep. John Shimkus (news, bio, voting record), R-Ill., chairman of the board that overseas the page program.

Shimkus admonished Foley to cease contact with the former page, a Louisiana teen. The matter ended there instead of being pursued in a way that might have led to the far more lurid messages sent to other former pages.

Sock puppet vomit more bullshit ? First the complete BIG LIE subject line calling foley a pedophile when any persual of the DSM reveals that a pedophile is defined as one who has sexual attractions to prepubescent children.Secondly, failure to follow the timeline of events, which began years ago.Of which i alluded to already.

And now you fail to apply critically thinking and read the laws pertaining to consent in DC.
