How much money to create new TS site?

Anybody having an idea how much money do you need to create a new website and content for like 1 year?

I am talking about the quality of transsensual.com, pinkotgirls.com, tsseduction.com.

My dream is to one day create a TS site with the quality of strapondreamer.com or metartx, but with more creativity.
A site where the users can actively take part in the creation...

First, know that prices vary widely. Maybe you can find a developer that specializes in porn and can get you up and running for cheap. IIWY, this would be my first avenue of exploration.

I develop custom sites and generally won't take on a project that bills less than $10K. This doesn't include graphic design, which is typically handled by another party. That's probably another $3K or more.

Hosting is another cost. My highest traffic site does about 10K uniques per day. It costs me about $100/month. Also, despite the high traffic, my bandwidth is comparatively modest. It's not a graphically intense site. A subscription based porn site would need far fewer than 10K uniques per day to make plenty of scratch.

Also, I think that a lot of hosting companies aren't interested in hosting porn, so your costs might not reflect the rest of the market. You should do a lookup on some of your favorite porn sites and see who hosts them.

Content? I have no idea. No idea. Sorry. I'm very curious to know, though.

Driving traffic to your site is not easy and is crucial to success. So is converting the traffic once you have it on your site. There are tools to help (Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools, etc.).

If you're not technically savvy and aren't willing to go out and do the research and learn enough to do it on your own it's going to cost you a ton of money. As a developer with high traffic, successful sites, I have had many people ask me to develop a site on spec. They have the brilliant idea and I have the skill set. But the brilliant idea isn't really worth much. It's the work to develop the site and its content, but then just as importantly the sustained effort over time to make that site successful.

If you're passionate about your project and not afraid to fail and try again and again you can do this.

I am actually a co-founder of a tech startup, I am used to failing, and I have the technical knowhow, and the technical connections should also be no problem.

I rather build a new TS site which values transgender and is creative and of quality. I don't need to be the top site, but I want to show my view on it.

I think Transsensual comes closest to what I am aiming for, but it is not well shot and not very creative and not very much variation in actors.

I often gave TS sites feedback from a photography and filmography standpoint what they should improve. But directors rarely accept improvements.
So I wanna do it for myself.

I rather build this site, than buy a Porsche.

I think all your issues, which are very valuable and are like a checklist for me, are solvable.

The only problem I am not sure about.
I am currently based in Germany.

Don't know if there are enough beautiful women around here or in Europe. I have no idea.
I am not in the scene.

I get what you're saying. I can't tell you how many times I watch porn and think to myself, WTF is the videographer/photographer thinking? I also think, that when it comes down to production, there's a pretty steep learning curve. I'm sure anyone with decent tech skills could get there, but it takes time and effort.

Why are so many porn videos so poorly edited? Because quality editing takes time and effort, meaning money. Does the added expense result in monetary returns? I have no idea. But I do like what I think is your direction, a niche trans-female porn site with high production value media.

I've many times thought that it would be a great thing to develop a model/performer owned porn business. Well, not just model/performer, but also producer and developer owned. Of course, saying it and doing it are two completely different things.

Hey Steven, are there any boilerplate type porn sites?

I've worked in the real estate website niche for over two decades and there are many companies that sell sites with a lot of standard functionality for very reasonable prices ($1000 and for instance). These sites integrate dynamic content and listings from local MLSes, etc. My point is that these are deep sites, with tons of functionality and integration of remote content, social media, user accounts, etc., etc.

If there isn't anything like this in the porn industry I'd be pretty surprised. I'd also know what my next big project is.
