Question How is TER/ The Erotic Review perfectly illegally a standing website on the USA ?

Or is it legal ? Just been curious. Any intelligent replies would be appreciated!

Anyway, I'm really sick of all the anonymous bitching about transsexuals who expect a donation for NSA sex. We didn't make the world the way it is. You guys just want to take advantage of us for being born deformed with dicks. You cheap, sick freaks.

    It's legal
But the new AG has been using new laws to go after these websites.

    They went after Rentboy/rentaboy
    , Craigslist and more.
I posted links/urls to the stories and the new laws and interpretation of the laws used before in an old thread.

I do believe it is hosted in the USA as the bulk of the escorts listed are USA based. There are some UK listings though and I have posted two reviews myself; one gg and one tg. A very limited membership is free but to get all the details of a listing you have to pay a membership fee. If you get one of your reviews accepted by them you get a two week full membership free. To making a review accepted the escort has to have an ad website or their own personal site. They will not allow Adult World as a reference as they feel that site is a competitor. They also do not accept Backpage listings. Kind of a moot point in the US as one cannot access UK Backpage listings there. Although interestingly enough you can access all US Backpage escort lists but not the UK ones.

    Rentboy

Rentboy CEO Strikes Deal for Prison, Millions in Fine
The government could get $10 million in a deal that closes Rentboy.com and sends its former CEO to prison, reports the Associated Press.

Jeffrey Hurant pleaded guilty on Friday to promoting prostitution and conspiring to commit money laundering, the AP reports. The plea deal sends Hurant to prison for no more than two years and imposes a $10 million fine or less, with sentencing decided in February.

Federal Agents Take Down ‘RentBoy.com’ Escort Service

On Tuesday, federal agents raided the Manhattan offices of RentBoy.com as part of a prostitution and money laundering investigation, authorities reported.

RentBoy.com CEO Jeffrey Hurant and six others were arrested after members of the NYPD, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Department of Homeland Security, and the FBI raided the website’s offices on 14th Street and Fifth Avenue.

The website, which billed itself as “the world’s destination to meet the perfect male escort or masseur,” had a database of over 10,500 men in 2,100 cities across the world.

Founded in 1997, the site featured tools to find a “rent-a-boy” by country, city, age, and “talents,” as well as physical features and race. The site also proclaimed that it was the “world’s largest male escort site.”

The owners of the site reported proceeds of $10 million between 2010 and 2015.

While the website had disclaimers that the “boys” were only for friendship, the feds charged that the site was really a clearing house for male prostitution.

“As alleged, RentBoy.com attempted to present a veneer of legality, when in fact this Internet brothel made millions of dollars from the promotion of illegal prostitution,” acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York Kelly Currie said in a statement as reported by NBC New York.

TER is simply a review site...its legal bc it doesn't provide escorts, nor is it an escort site. You can review anything you want whether its illegal or not.

Did the erotic review get shut down too? The ads are down even if you are not in the US.

They got hit, too. The disclaimer states that they "made the difficult decision to block access to the website from the United States until such time as the courts have enjoined enforcement of the law, the law has been repealed or amended or TER has found a way to sufficiently addresss any legal concerns created by the new law."

Not any longer if it's considered an accessory to sex trafficing, which if they had any links or details on where to contact escorts it would be.
That's why this law is so flawed, it's so over-reaching that there is no safe-harbour for anyone ... unless you are Twitter, or Facebook.
