Default The White House leaks thread

Applause from the public and the press , empty threats from Jeff Sessions.
Maxine Waters applauds latest White House leaks which , it should be noted , were not classified information:

Jeff Sessions threatens criminal investigations and lie detector tests. I`m not an attorney but the last I heard lie detector tests were both inadmissible and unconstitutional. https://www.theblaze.com/news/2017/0...hats-going-on/

Meanwhile , for those who still had any doubt , the Trump conversations confirm him to be the lying , shallow , self -centered sociopath that we all suspected.

As the New York Times and the Washington Post often print these 'leaked' documents, perhaps the President will take his cue from the National Rifle Association which promises to 'fisk' (could be 'frisk' but it sounds like fist) the 'old grey hag' known as the NYT -and shut it down. After all, there can only be one source of 'fake news' or any news, and that must be the Greatest and Most Popular President of all time, a claim we know to be true, because he said so.

I'm not up on the constitutionality but almost always inadmissible. Not just excluded because the scientific reliability is questioned but also because it invades province of jury to determine credibility.

That said, even if it's not admitted in court it can be an investigative tool. Knowing that someone failed a lie detector test might be useful even if we don't want to use that fact to establish guilt in court. Or that they refused the test when others didn't though we don't want to rely too heavily on that.

That said, Trump came across as an embarrassment as usual in his conversation with Turnbull.

One other consideration is sometimes being willing to submit to polygraph is a term of employment. So can be used against government employees to create lists of suspects and/or end their employment. You end up having an inquisitorial work environment.

Of course , I didn't mean to say that the President of the United States was a bald-faced liar . One can think of him more as ...
A withered branch on the vine of certitude.
A detour on the road to voracity.
A carbuncle on the complexion of candor.
A mote suspended in the sunbeam of honesty.
A stumble in the tango of verity.
    The emperor of equivocation.
    The prince of prevarocation.
    The guy in the petshop...
