Default Gender stereotypes in science and STEM fields.

The dearth of women as compared to men who choose STEM ( science , technology ,engineering and mathematics) careers is well documented but the cause is not.
New research indicates that the the previous assumption that men choose STEM fields because they are 'masculine' and women do not because they are 'anti feminine' is flawed.

Part of this study was based upon the BSRI sex inventory test . There is an online version available if you want to test yourself.
