Most seem to make their money thru webcamming and prostitution these days rather than porn. Sienna is very open about it as are most others.

For some people psychiatry ,and the current medical treatments, help. For others, it doesn't.
I think it's not enough to just go and talk to someone, you need someone who is in your corner. Usually ill people, also can use help in other areas of there life , because trouble travels in a pack.
Maybe help with getting housing or help navigate the usual bureaucracies ,paperwork...etc. A therapist who helps out with other problems logistically.
It's more than the system will or can provide? That's the real question.
Personally I see mental illness and health like were all wild fruit , full of natural uneven curve and distortion.
Look at supermarket fruit versus real ones from a wild tree. The Natural ones are visually imperfect.
And than there's the environment were all born into! That's another Monstrosity. To paraphrase,
Thomas Szasz, "....Life's the problem".
It doesn't help that Society reflects the ..Red , tooth 'n claw of Nature. Like a macabre mirror image.
Which makes me think, when professionals insist on getting payed . Ware's the love?
Has it cured anybody? Maybe that's all this ol world can do for now.

Maybe the World needs a therapist because it's so fucked up.
I'm pretty sure a mentally healthy civilization, would not allow for even old fashion Pollution like toxic sewage runoff to exist.
But the World is too messed up to create a proper one.

This. Absolutely correct. One of the most rewarding things you can do for yourself is challenge yourself. I mean really challenge yourself. You learn a lot about yourself and the subsequent drug free high can last for months.

The best cure for my depression episode was doing something completely out of my comfort zone (extremely out of my comfort zone).

I made a crazy 10 second thought become reality. The next day I ended up flying from the UK to Canada and living in the woods and under a waterfall for 9 days straight living off salmon. I'm 100% serious.
Incredibly dangerous and frighting for a while, but It is without a doubt the most amazing experience of my life. More importantly, it was the exact thing I needed to kill my depression in it's tracks.
You could say the decision was suicidal, and maybe it was to an extent, but it become so much more.

I must stress, this is not a joke post. We do some crazy things when depressed and nothing is off limits. Unfortunately for some, this can lead to bad things. I hope whatever she does helps her snap out of it.

P.S. If you decide on going into the wilderness 50+ miles away from any other human life... take a little more than a knife and a lighter. If I didn't get lucky with a fresh unlimited supply of lake water, I'd be dead.
