She's had a botched surgery and is super bummed out about it (who wouldn't be?!) but is recovering slowly and seems to be improving and growing. She seems really sweet and nice and I wish her the best.

they are gambling with scared money
every bet they make in life is based on barrowed money ..... aka their looks their bodies and the intangible commodity of youth.
every hour of every day another cute young girl turns 19 and slowly pushes them up and off their seat and closer to the edge.
eventually around 30 or so they are no longer top tear and no one is buying them drinks or even looking their way.
by 40 they are invisible
do you know how many gorgeous women over 40 are single and never married?
they made bad bets they over valued themselves and gambled all their barrowed money away
so you tell me what would you want to be? gambling with money that goes up in value every year? or with money that you barrowed from some italian guys as you walked into the casino?

I wish she would understand that there are people out there with whom she could enjoy life (i dont talk about sex) and who would care about her. But when real depression hits you, you think there is no hope.
