I want grooby to keep us safe or at the very least have a word with these hardcore creepers. I was recently shot in the guts. A woman in our community was recently kidnapped. It's scary shit. It really is. I don't think I've ever seen this on a grooby site but I know they have a huge pull and can ask or even make a post about it to look down on this type of privacy betrayal. Not all of us are currently engaging in performing, nor are escorts or other sex workers. My information is on these websites as well, and can easily be used by obsessive fans and stalkers to gather information on stars or former stars to engage in harassing or violent activity. The fact that in the passed two months a number of transwomen have come under horrific assaults by stalkers and ex boyfriends, and as someone who was battered herself, having certain information publicly available can make it easier for psychopaths to locate us.

The number of threats made by creepers, obsessive fans or scumbags in general that we've all experienced at least once, should justify shutting these websites down, if not at the least, removing sensitive information from these sites that put models, performers, sex workers, escorts, both current and former at risk for violence. There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for our locations, date of birth, names, phone numbers, emails and other information to be made publicly available without our explicit consent.

I couldn't find any information on where girls live posted on that website unless it's in the comments, which is that is the case almost any site which allows user comments from Twitter, Facebook, to almost every membership site could potentially have personal information uploaded and it would be down to the site owners to moderate that (as we do here).

I don't know the full story of what happened to you - but from what I understand (and what you posted above) this was someone you had/have been in a relationship with and knew where you lived - and it was with your own gun? I believe the Jessica Fappit was someone she knew previously also (not entirely sure, so I may be incorrect on that). While all models and individuals should keep their personal lives as separate from their stage lives as they can, when they appear at clubs/shows, when some girls escort, when you make it clear via social media whereabouts you live, then there are going to be crazies out there.

I don't think a word from Grooby would do anything but exacerbate the situation (do you know how many threats I/we get a year) and I don't think people buying website memberships are necessarily the ones who are stalking, they tend to be people who can differentiate between fantasy and reality (thus paying for a fantasy website). I would suggest that if you see personal information posted that you're uncomfortable with then you contact the owner/webmaster and ask them to remove it.

Nope. You almost die and you say hey my body is worth more than this sad bullshit. Trusted someone I should never have trusted from that creepy world. I didn't know if they were affiliated in some way. But I will contact "anothersite.com" and tell them to remove their rape locator database info on me. No need for my exact area to be posted their unless they want to tie me up rape me, torture me, and bury me in the flower bed. Creepy on a new level.

I think its important that models are aware that their personal information is being compiled and posted publicly to the internet for the pyschopaths who do intend to harass, stalk or even assault models can acquire that information to attempt to find out the identities or locations of models based on this. These sites give dates of birth, locations, names, aliases, everything they can find on a person and post it with their photos. This should be a concern of not just the individual models/performers/escorts in question, but among major influences in the industry such as yourself, who can use that power to promote safety and awareness. I know you use Grooby to cover issues regarding violence against transgender people already, but I don't believe it would hurt if a major industry influence sent an email over to these sites to say "Hey, I know you're fans of these people, maybe its not the best idea to post certain info publicly about them on your site." (Just a thought)

I have sent emails to the sites in question, however, there are still thousands of other transwomen listed with various degrees of personal information that has no business being publicly outed. The case of how/why Ada or others have been assaulted is irrelevant. The world is a sick place with sick people in it who can be a danger, and by some sites deliberately outing information about models without said model's consent, puts transwomen, in an already hostile world, at further unnecessary risk.

That is what I thought. These both incidents stemmed from personal relationships.

That does not negate the fact that websites are compiling databases on trans performers and outing their information publicly without consent. This does not negate the fact that a stalker who wanted to commit harm or harassment could use such a database to gather information on a victim which can be used to acquire more information from other sources. All I need is a phone number to dox a person and know everything about them. It's a serious concern when these sites are posting locations, names, aliases, dates of birth, email addresses, phone numbers along with their photos. I don't know why such a site would even exist outside of having the direct purpose of publicly outing performer personal information.

If you cannot see the potential for serious danger to the safety and privacy of performers/models/etc, I don't know what else to say.
