I feel it's mostly aesthetic, for many reasons. In one sense it symbolizes the male prowess because we associate sex with our penis obviously, and there's just a mentality of "the bigger the better" for whatever reason (probably bigger men, more alpha, more personality, more whatever that seems to catch our attention), so we're just naturally drawn to bigger penises for a multitude of reasons. I have friends who are 100% straight and would never do anything with a penis who still go on and on about big dicks and whatnot, probably for that very reason.

For women or men who enjoy penis, it's probably a similar thing, where they're sexually attracted to it, so naturally more of it would mean more sexual...ness, or something, but it usually falls under an aesthetic thing as well because once they're faced with a giant penis, a common complaint is "Oh it hurts, I can't do much with it, blah blah blah". I am a man who absolutely adores gigantic breasts for example; Think of the biggest possible breasts you could fathom, and I will most likely consider them to be "average" at best. That being said however, how many fucking people out there do you see out there going "Maaan, I love big tits!!" and they go on and on, but when they see a pair that's bigger than a C-cup, suddenly it's "well, i mean more than a handful is too much" or "well they start to sag" or "well they just look sloppy" or whatever stupid fucking reason they come up with. Suddenly you realize that it's an aesthetic thing, and not an actual lust or legitimate interest towards them.

In the case of "big" breasts, people just go "I like boobs, so obviously more of them means it's more sexual... or something" so they look at a chick barely above a C-cup with a plunging neckline and they assume that's what they want, and the reality is it was just the aesthetics they were attracted to.

I think that's the case for giant penises. There's just this association that's not really based in reality for MOST (not all) people, which is why there's such a giant obsession with huge dicks.

To further drive home the point, look in the case of trans girls: What greater sexual juxtaposition could there be than a beautiful gorgeous sexy hot woman with a beautiful body, and this giant throbbing cock?
