It sounds like she had buttock injections and either the fall dislodged a chunk of PMMA, or the PMMA was already spreading through her body and the fall was just a coincidence. It's common for the injections to kill people. I haven't heard of anyone dying from a leaking implant. But then, my medical opinions are ignorant and unqualified.

I was mislead by the use of the word "biopolymer." Since silicone is not a biopolymer and collagen is, I assumed that "biopolymer" referred to a PMMA/collagen mix. Turns out the news media commonly refers to silicone as a biopolymer. Rather than speculate more, here's what I know:
1) All implants leak eventually, and the people who have the implants don't die from the leaks.
2) La Sirena Real had her butt worked on at a time when a lot of Venezualan women were getting silicone butt injections.
3) Venezuelan women who got silicone butt injections are dying at an average rate of twelve per year. Descriptions of their deaths sound like the description of Sirena's death.
