Default Re: 2016 - worst year ever?

If we choose, the year may be ending with the positive news that has focused on genetic research into disease, this year with regard to optimistic advances in Haemophilia A, and Huntingdon's Disease. The advances have not 'cured' those diseases, but are significant steps forward, though one notes in the article below, that even with something we ought to know more about -our own bodies- gene-based research and therapy can take 25 years to effect real change.

True, but it spilled over. Why not start a new one for 2017?

Sorry, I was partially responsible for the "spillover" with my posts #11 and #12 on 1-12-17 and 2 weeks ago as I was responding to a previous thread and then when I posted the new "word of the year" 2 weeks ago I didn't know if we should to start a new thread at that time .
Probably should ,or change the name of this one if that is possible ?
