    Then you're not really a cynical idealist afterall.......more of a wishful thinker perhaps? Not that wishful thinking doesn't have its uses but for a professed newbie like our OP I think he'll have better luck with a pragmatic approach to getting what he wants.

    Cynical modifies idealist in the construction, so I'm an idealist at heart. The newbie is still clueless. He may get lucky with a pragmatic approach, but he won't find fulfillment.

    Yes agreed.........in my experience one finds what one needs when one isn't searching.

    Seriously, in my experience (middle east & SE Asia), most transgender women have few opportunities for employment outside the sex industry (Thailand is an exception). Many times, asking "guests" for money is their only way to make ends meet. Its a sad situation.

    There is a tide in the affairs of men, which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
    Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in the shallows and in miseries…..
    And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures.
